Matthias Zahn is a Senior Data Scientist at Werum IT Solutions. He holds a PhD in Geosciences from the University of Hamburg and a Diploma degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Lüneburg, Germany. Before joining Werum two years ago, Matthias had been working for academic institutions in Germany and in the United Kingdom where he statistically analyzed terabytes of data from various sources to solve problems in Geosciences. Using state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms Matthias now is responsible for developing methods and building software to improve production processes for Werum’s customers in the pharma and biotech industries.
